Alessio Trerotoli is an italian photographer based in Rome. In the last years his pictures were exposed in several italian galleries. In 2012 he published his first book, “Fuori dalla Caverna”, with pictures and notes of his travels.

Trerotoli dedicated his new series, “Heroes”, to Rome and the (anti)heroes of its daily life: “Roma is a city with several faces“ he says, “a city that behind its amazes, its great beauty and the appearance that shows to the tourists, actually hides the heroes of daily life, or maybe antiheroes, the real beating heart of Rome. Outside every appearance, all these antiheroes populates every day streets, alleys, squares, buses and subways: through photography we can feel the soul of their frantic living, because, like the song tells, “we can be heroes, just for one day”.
